About our Team
 

As a Software Engineering Manager you will be managing and liaising with dynamic , passionate cross functional teams, where collaboration as a team is key.
 

About the Role
 

As the Manager of Software Engineering you will provide leadership, management, direction, and vision to software engineers and/or development employees including offshore contractors/consultants and interns needed to support, run, and change activities in the software development life cycle.

The position works closely with development peers, product and project leaders/managers, and other in-house software developers as well as directs the successful completion and delivery of respective software components and any other related duties.

Responsibilities
 

  • Working closely with cross functionals teams, to deliver new capabilities and improve upon existing capabilities
  • Managing your team, including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, and giving appropriate feedback
  • Monitoring and reporting on technical progress against plans
  • Acting as an acknowledged go-to person on coding and technical issues
  • Driving and implementing process improvements
  • Monitoring and reporting on technical progress against plans


Requirements
 

  • Have experience in a software engineering role as part of a product or platform delivery team
  • Have substantial Software Engineering experience
  • Have experience in staff resourcing and management, including partnering and offshoring resourcing models
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to think analytically
  • Have experience of managing of Software Engineering Teams.
  • Be a natural problem-solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience
  • Be very proficient in database technology, design and manipulation, optimization, and best practice
