Insurance Market Insights Data Analyst II

This position performs moderate data management and analysis tasks within a specific functional area or data type. Requires heavy communication with data sources and contacts.

Accountabilities:

• Business intelligence and metrics reporting: develop, enhance, capture, and generate data and reports pertaining to productivity, timeliness, quality, and other key performance metrics
• Data insights and analysis: identify, research, and analyze data that can be accurately processed; provide actionable business insights to mitigate and improve service levels; and identify issues in data that need to be fixed
• Assume ownership of a portfolio consisting of internal Power BI product reports
• Develop visualization-based reporting which provide insights to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers and opportunities within the business
• Develops and maintains customer information database (usually specific data marts) to support analysis, application development, and data-driven marketing techniques
• Develops and presents actionable insights and analytics to drive strategic objectives
• Establishes partnerships with frontline operational leaders to deliver meaningful analysis to drive operational performance
• Manages information security, data protection, data quality and exchange
• Performs peer quality reviews
• Maintains training curriculum and documentation
• Perform other tasks/projects assigned by immediate superior

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/College Degree holder, any field (preferably with a strong background in Computer Science, MIS, Business)
• Knowledge of and hands on experience with data visualization tools, which includes a minimum of 2 years of experience in data visualization / management (Power BI preferred)
• Ability to write complex / intermediate MS SQL queries
• Able to coordinate and influence across multiple teams
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal skills and can easily build and sustain trust-based relationships with all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and deductive reasoning skills
• Enjoy solving complex problems and have excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
• Ability to work with leadership teams to translate data into action steps and reporting solutions
• Willing and able to work on a flexible shift to meet business needs
