Job Overview

WHO WE ARE
Relativity is a leading legal data intelligence company building technology that helps users organize data, discover the truth, and act on it with confidence. Our AI-powered, cloud platform, RelativityOne, transforms massive volumes of complex information into actionable insights for litigation, investigations, regulatory inquiries, data breach responses, and other high-stakes legal work where accuracy and trust are crucial.

The world’s largest law firms, corporations, and government agencies rely on Relativity’s legal AI software to securely surface and manage the most relevant and impactful information in their matters. Beyond our commercial impact, we are committed to expanding access to technology and supporting pro bono legal work.

WHAT WE DO
At Relativity, engineers don’t just write code. They harness AI tools to architect, optimize, and deliver scalable software faster while shaping the future of legal technology. They design systems that help industries uncover critical insights, ensure compliance, advance access to justice, and continuously evolve our platform using cloud-native architectures, AI capabilities, and modern developer tooling.

Our AI helps power privacy programs, identify confidential information, and detect language indicating misconduct. We are reimagining how legal professionals uncover truth at scale, and engineering is at the heart of that transformation.

Job Description and Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design, develop, and operate cloud-based services that enable organizations to manage and process data at scale across multiple platforms

  • Build full-stack features across .NET/C# backend services, React/JavaScript frontends, and SQL data layers that support core product workflows

  • Build and maintain integrations with external systems and internal platform services, including third-party cloud data sources, notification providers, and cross-team APIs

  • Plan and execute service and data migrations, including schema changes, deployment progressions, and feature transitions in live production environments

  • Apply cloud-native patterns including containerization, event-driven architecture, and infrastructure-as-code to deliver scalable and resilient services on Azure

  • Manage and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and independently deploy team-owned services

  • Use observability tooling including structured logging, metrics dashboards, and distributed tracing to investigate production issues and drive system improvements

  • Triage and remediate security vulnerabilities as part of the team’s ongoing security posture efforts

  • Participate in on-call rotations, contribute to incident response activities, and complete follow-up work to support continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and adjacent teams to deliver committed sprint work on a regular cadence

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience

  • Proficiency in C# and .NET, or a comparable object-oriented language with willingness to ramp up on the stack

  • Experience building and operating cloud-based services

  • Ability to work independently through complex features and debug production issues with minimal direction

  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL, including schema change management

Preferred

  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for full-stack development

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tooling using GitHub Actions

  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as New Relic, Grafana, or equivalent APM and logging tools

  • Exposure to authentication patterns including OAuth2, OIDC, or SAML in enterprise SaaS applications

  • Experience building or maintaining integrations with third-party APIs or enterprise SaaS systems

  • Familiarity with cloud-native concepts such as containerization, event-driven design, or infrastructure-as-code, with Azure experience preferred
