We are now looking for SP3D Electrical Designer to execute projects and support bids in Navi Mumbai, India.

Reports To

The SP3D Electrical Designer reports to the Head of Discipline, Electrical.

Job Overview

The SP3D Electrical Designer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.

In your role, you will Lead and Execute multiple projects (local and international) with the Designers Team. You will also be responsible to prepare electrical engineering documents and drawings as required for project and assigned by the Discipline Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

• To assist Engineers / Design Manager / Discipline Manager for the engineering design of the project.

• Ensure verification of source data, site visit, concept drawings / concepts as required.

• Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant department / discipline, submission date as per Client / Contract requirements.

• Preparation of all Electrical related design deliverables through MS-office, Smart plant tools (SP3D, SPEL), AUTOCAD, NAVIS, Micro-station, PDS, PDMS, Aveva E3D, etc.,

• Review of design document, drawings, etc. issued by various discipline, design subcontractor and ensure Client requirements.

• Review meetings (3 D modelling, plot plan review, Constructability study)

• Proficiency in DiaLux and Cable Sizing software.

• Responsible to ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings and necessary coordination with Client.

• Overall responsible for inter discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/ deliverables and procedures to the Client.

• Page Break Preparation of Material Take Off

• Ensure compliance to Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Requirements for the project.

• Responsible to ensure unclear issues are resolved with Client through technical query in coordination with inter discipline leads, managers.

• Coordinate for the preparation of as-built.

The ideal candidate will have to work on following IAE tools to perform designing and drafting activities for Design, Execution and As-built. 

• Smart Plant 3D (E& I Cable Trays & instrument Modeling, extraction of drawings) – Expertise is mandatory

• Smart Plant Instrumentation User (added value)

• SPR (Smart Plant Review)

• Smart Sketch

• PDS (E& I Cable Trays & Equipment Modeling) – Expertise is mandatory

• Microstation

• AutoCAD (Smart working / Macros) – Expertise is mandatory

• NavisWorks

• DIALux – (Lighting Calculations)

• Microsoft Office (Fast working / Macros / formatting) – Expertise is mandatory

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate (BSc. or Diploma.)

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Designer in O&G field

• Proficient in spoken and written English

• Expertise in SP3D, PDS, MicroStation ‘J’ & AutoCAD

• ADNOC experience will be an added advantage

• Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Onshore

• Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) is an advantage

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills

• Team player, smart-worker, problem solver and a can-do attitude

• Fluent in English language, Arabic speaking added value.
