The OpenShift Virtualization DevOps team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our test infrastructure and release processes. In this role, you will ensure the stability and efficiency of our CI/CD pipelines while working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and monitor test automation workflows. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting the Evergreen CI initiative and driving quality across Red Hat’s product releases. - Manage and maintain the test infrastructure and hardware to ensure seamless operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues proactively to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Create and share release plans in alignment with stakeholders.
- Coordinate hardware requirements and ensure proper resource allocation.
- Collaborate with component teams to review and refine test jobs for relevance across release streams.
- Maintain automated test jobs to ensure quality assurance best practices.
- Maintain high-quality standards and support the team’s CI/CD initiatives.
- Proven experience in managing test infrastructures and hardware in cloud-based environments.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Red Hat Openshift
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and test management platforms.
- Proficiency in coding/scripting and automation tools (Python/Golang is preferred) to build and maintain robust processes.
- Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to align and coordinate with component teams to ensure product goals are met.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Capacity to meet deadlines and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with public cloud providers like Azure, GCP, AWS, Oracle cloud.
