About the Role

We're seeking an accomplished Full Stack Engineer to spearhead our cutting-edge software development initiatives. As a technical visionary, you'll shape the direction of new projects, architecting robust solutions using your expertise in Next.js and PHP. What You'll Do

• Architect for Impact: Design and implement highly scalable, performant, and maintainable front-end and back-end systems using Next.js (React-based) and PHP.
• Lead with Excellence: Establish and champion Next.js development best practices, ensuring code quality, reusability, and adherence to the highest standards.
• Create Engaging Experiences: Craft intuitive, visually appealing, and data-driven user interfaces with Next.js that captivate users and drive results.
• Build Robust APIs: Design and implement well-structured, secure RESTful APIs with PHP to power seamless data interactions across our applications.
• Strategize and Innovate: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and proactively tackle complex challenges.
• Mentor and Empower: Guide and mentor junior engineers, nurturing a collaborative environment where technical excellence thrives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building full-stack applications with Next.js (or React) and PHP, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), React ecosystem, Next.js best practices, and back-end architectural patterns.
• Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable, and maintainable RESTful APIs with PHP.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive technical initiatives independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with GraphQL and integrating it with PHP.
• Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks (CI4, Symfony, etc.).
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven track record of leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Passion for building high-performance e-commerce solutions and a deep understanding of Rebuy's mission.
