This Role:

This is a Senior Full Stack Engineering role on our Special Services team reporting to an Engineering Manager. This Engineering team is responsible for a variety of critical aspects of Rebuy’s application including Integrations, Logins, Billing, Partner Portal and App-Wide UX.  This position will be heavily focused on Back End solutions for our application, and at times may need to update our Front End as well. In this role, you will bring extensive professional experience in leading full stack development projects, with expert proficiency in PHP, Next.js (React-Based) and GraphQL. 

What You'll Do:

• Build Robust APIs: Design and implement well-structured, secure RESTful APIs with PHP to power seamless data interactions within our Application and Shopify APIs. 
• Create Engaging Experiences: Create intuitive, visually appealing and data-driven user interfaces using advanced frontend technologies (React and other modern JavaScript frameworks).
• Engineering Best Practices: Contribute significantly to the engineering culture at Rebuy by establishing, documenting, and promoting best practices. Lead initiatives to introduce and standardize frameworks and tools that increase development efficiency and maintainability.
• Web and Browser Performance Expertise: Ensure optimal performance of our web applications, focusing on enhancing responsiveness and efficient browser rendering to deliver a seamless user experience. 
• Mentorship: Participate actively in the code review process for not only your own Special Services teammates but also developers who handle other Rebuy products, offering insightful and actionable feedback. Learn alongside your peers to continuously advance collective skills and enhance software quality.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on deliverables to ensure code, setup and configurations meet expected results. Ensure that all features meet high standards of quality and performance before deployment. 
• Team Collaboration: Engage actively in building a strong team environment. Work in tandem with the Product Owner, Engineering Manager, and other developers in the Special Services team to identify needs, refine acceptance criteria, estimate level of effort, and choose solutions for new features. Assist Support team in troubleshooting and triaging high priority production issues. 

What You'll Need:

• BS Degree or equivalent work experience 
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building full-stack applications with Next.js (or React) and PHP, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), React ecosystem, Next.js best practices, and back-end architectural patterns.
• Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable, and maintainable RESTful APIs with PHP. 
• Experience with GraphQL and integrating it with PHP. 
• Experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably GCP.
• Strong understanding of performant SaaS environment
• Experience in a Scrum/Agile environment 
• Experience with Atlassian suite, including Jira and Bitbucket
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to break down complex problems into easy-to-understand concepts.
• Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be a problem-solver, self-motivated, and passionate about e-commerce.

Interview Process:

If you’re everything we are looking for, you will be invited to a 30-minute phone interview where a team member will dive a little deeper into your experience but also give you a little more info on what it’s like to work with us. If you pass this phone interview, you will proceed to the next set of interviews, which will include:

• Meeting with the Hiring Manager
• Small Project
• Panel interview with some team members
• Short final interview with the CEO and COO
