This Role

This is a Mobile Engineering role on our special projects team.  The Mobile Engineer is responsible for developing a mobile app that will connect to the existing API first web system. You will bring extensive professional experience in leading mobile development, with expert proficiency in React Native development and launching new apps into app stores.

What You'll Do

• You will build a compelling and easy-to-use interface, ensure its maintainability and ease of use, and suggest ways to improve the look and feel of the application
• Contribute to a variety of React Native products
• Work with clients and internal teams to scope and estimate new features
• Maintain high standards for code quality and development processes such as CI/CD
• Serve as a technical resource to product owners
• Assist in scoping and development of a variety of features
• Manage release and tech debt across multiple projects

What You'll Need

• React Native Experience
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience with SQL databases
• Testing(Unit/Integration)
• Version control (Git/Github/Bitbucket/etc)
• Agile Methodology
• Workload Management tools (JIRA)
• GCP, AWS, Azure, or other cloud hosting platform

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Expo ecosystem
• Familiarity with React Native Expo CI/CD pipelines and Cloud build
• App Store/Play Store submission best practices
• Tailwind CSS, or familiarity with the concepts
• Zod and other validation best practices
• Authentication and security patterns
• Familiarity with Figma and iterative design patterns
• Experience with TanStack Query(React Query), SWR or similar data fetching patterns
• Familiarity with Global state management, i.e. Redux(RTK/RTK Query), Context/Reducer, Zustand, etc
• Familiarity with Swift/Swift UI(if needed)
• Kotlin/Jetpack Compose(if needed)
• Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and multi-device testing best practices(iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, etc).

Interview Process

If you’re everything we are looking for, you will be invited to a 30-minute phone interview where a team member will dive a little deeper into your experience but also give you a little more info on what it’s like to work with us. If you pass this phone interview, you will proceed to the next set of interviews, which will include:

• Meeting with the Hiring Manager

• Panel interview with future team members
• Short final interview with the CEO and COO
