Staff Software Engineer at Realtor.com®

What You’ll Do:
- Lead the design and delivery of solutions for complex problem spaces within the squad.
- Provide guidance on system architecture and design, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Analysts, and Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor and support the development of team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
- Explore and prototype new technologies to drive innovation.
- Take initiative and drive projects forward, working autonomously with minimal guidance.
How We Work:
We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. For most roles, our employees work three or more days in our offices, where they have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.
What You’ll Bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software development.
- 3+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design.
- Proficiency in software development, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the Realtor.com technology stack, including Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, NumPy, Pandas) and React.
- Experience with Node.js.
- Extensive experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Knowledge of AWS and database systems is a plus.
- A track record of delivering high value to customers quickly and efficiently, with a focus on regular feedback and continuous improvement.
- Strong commitment to software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and documentation.
