Are you an enthusiastic, talented, and experienced Applications Engineer (Systems Architect) with a passion for helping customers solve complex technical problems? RTI is seeking an Applications Engineer (Systems Architect). You will be part of our Products & Markets Team that ensures customer success in connection with our core product, Connext DDS, a networking and communications software designed to enable intelligent distributed systems.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and documenting software architecture that best apply RTI products to meet the needs of medical applications including patient monitoring, robotic telesurgery, and imaging;
- Creating product demos, partnership integrations, and technical marketing for Medical & Cybersecurity systems;
- Developing marketing and sales tools such as blog posts, videos and knowledge base articles;
- Building product demos for RTI Connext Anywhere to demonstrate and showcase product capabilities;
- Raising awareness and ease adoption of RTI products by identifying and working with partners to develop an ecosystem of best-in-class software and hardware technologies compatible with RTI’s unique data-centric connectivity design;
- Communicating with RTI’s users and staff to understand market and system requirements and map them to RTI products;
- Developing working software examples, proofs of concept, and technical demonstrations that illustrate the unique value of RTI products;
- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information;
- Providing technical feedback, product requirements and market insights to Product Management and Engineering; and
- Testing RTI’s solutions against our competitors, including performance, scalability, security, portability, interoperability and reliability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field such as Embedded Computing Systems or Electrical Engineering and one (1) year of related experience;
- One (1) year of experience with distributed systems, embedded systems and multiplatform use; computer networks and network security for communication middleware and peer-to-peer networks; systems architecture experience through coding in a general purpose object oriented programming language such as C, C++, and Python; developing computer software architecture for Linux and embedded systems; Time-Sensitive Networking; ROS and building robotics systems; cybersecurity for IoT devices; and TCP/IP sockets or messaging protocols.
