Mechanical Designer with Revit for an MEP organization isĀ responsible for creating 3D models and construction documents for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems using Autodesk Revit. This includes designing HVAC and plumbing layouts, performing calculations, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring compliance with building codes and standards.Ā 
Key responsibilities
  • 3D Modeling:Ā Develop detailed 3D models of HVAC ductwork, piping, and equipment in Revit.
  • Design and Layout:Ā Prepare detailed mechanical and plumbing drawings, layouts, sections, and isometrics for fabrication and construction.
  • Coordination:Ā Collaborate with architectural, structural, and electrical teams to coordinate designs and resolve conflicts, often through clash detection processes.
  • Calculations and Sizing:Ā Perform calculations for heating, cooling, and loads, and size equipment and systems.
  • Compliance:Ā Ensure all designs meet applicable building codes, standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA), and client requirements.
  • Documentation:Ā Develop and edit mechanical specifications and other technical documentation.
  • Field Support:Ā Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, support construction, and review submittals.
  • Technical Support:Ā Provide technical support for projects and assist senior engineers and project managers.Ā 
Required skills and qualifications
  • Proficiency inĀ Autodesk Revit MEP.
  • Experience withĀ AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge of building codes and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC).
  • Ability to perform design calculations and equipment sizing.
  • Excellent English Skills
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.Ā
