About Rapsodo
Rapsodo is a global sports technology company with offices in Singapore, the United States, Türkiye, Japan, and Malaysia. We build data driven, portable, and easy to use sports analytics products that help athletes at every level understand and improve their performance. From Major League Baseball pitchers to professional golfers, our technology is trusted by athletes and coaches worldwide - from youth development to elite competition. Our products deliver real-time, actionable insights that directly impact performance.
We operate at the intersection of hardware and software, designing and building integrated systems with a strong emphasis on accuracy, reliability, and performance. Rapsodo is a globally distributed team, working across regions, cultures, and time zones. What enables us to operate effectively is not just technical capability, but how we work - with ownership, clarity, and disciplined execution.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer who wants to move beyond isolated board design and validation to work on real-world systems where hardware directly shapes product performance.
You will work across the full hardware lifecycle - from translating measurement architecture into circuit design, to PCB implementation, validation, and system level debugging - helping define how our devices perform in real-world environments.
Your work will directly impact:
- Measurement accuracy
- Signal integrity and system performance
- Reliability of products used by athletes globally
If you are hands-on, enjoy solving complex problems across hardware, firmware and system constraints, and thrive in building systems that perform outside controlled lab environments, this role will be a strong fit.
What You Will Do
Hardware Design & Development
- Own the full hardware development lifecycle, taking designs from initial concept through to production release
- Select components and perform schematic capture and PCB layout for optimized, production-ready hardware
- Create and manage PCB libraries and Bills of Materials, maintaining accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle
- Document design decisions clearly and ensure they remain traceable to system requirements at every stage of development
Validation & Performance Optimization
- Develop and execute hardware validation plans, test cases, and procedures
- Perform functional and performance testing across hardware components and subsystems ( PCBs, ICs, connectors, power systems, etc)
- Debug issues, resolve defects, and continuously improve hardware performance
- Ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards
Cross Functional Engineering & System Delivery
- Work closely with Firmware, Mechanical, NPI, Manufacturing and Algorithm teams to ensure system alignment across hardware and product requirements
- Drive hardware readiness for production by ensuring designs are validated, documented, and compliant with regulatory standards (FCC, CE, EMC, Safety)
- Contribute to delivering reliable, production-ready hardware systems that perform consistently in real-world environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in hardware design, validation, and optimization across full product life cycles
- Proven Experience in High Speed Digital board design (eg DDR, PCIe, USC, MIPI, LVDS)
- Experience in Analog Circuit Design & Simulation
- Experience in RF and Radar design
- Experience in developing complex CPU and FPGA based hardware systems
- Experience in SW Tools such as Altium Designer(preferred), PADS PCB, Allegro, ORCAD
- Experience in Microsoft Office package, JIRA & Confluence
- Strong knowledge of hardware testing methodologies, tools, and equipment
- Proven experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal generators
- Familiarity with industry standards and protocols, such as MIPI CSI-2, USB, HDMI, LVDS & Ethernet
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance testing and certification processes, such as FCC, CE, EMC and Safety.
- Experience in logic design for FPGA using VHDL/Verilog is a plus
- Strong problem-solving ability with a systems-thinking approach
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with good communication and interpersonal skills
