Software Development Engineer III

Overview:

Rapiscan Laboratories manufactures radiation equipments. We develop and test X-ray imaging systems and equipment to the airport and security industries.

The Software group is looking for a C++ Software Development Engineer who is highly motivated, results-driven, and passionate about technologies to join our growing team to change the way the world interacts with security screening systems.

Responsibilities:
Develop C++ based middleware for ScanOS
Add support for new X-Ray scanners and supporting HW into ScanOS
Create interface for and support the integration of threat detection algorithms into ScanOS
Perform code reviews of other team memers code to maintain the quality of ScanOS
Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem
Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
BSC Computer Science or equivalent experience
Min 5 years of experience
Excellent teamworking and communication skills
5+ years of hands on Modern C++ (17 or above) a must have
Awareness of modern C++ patterns and best practices
Knowledge of Operating Systems, Ubuntu
Knowledge of intersystem communication architectures, network and local
Strong problem-solving skills
Good attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
