Offshore Wind Senior Engineer
We are currently seeking an Offshore Wind Advisory - Senior Engineer (Chief Consultant for internal purposes) based in our office in Melbourne, Australia (hybrid mode). Your tasks and core responsibilities
As part of a growing multidisciplinary project team, you will take on tasks such as:
- Supporting various Business Development and tender activities led by the OFW Head of Australia
- Using the internal expertise and knowledge to deliver and lead successful OFW projects
- Working on offshore wind farms in Australia and globally, delivering different services along the entire project lifecycle
- Managing and supporting diverse technical and commercial advisory services, ranging from owners engineering to technical due diligence, feasibility and desktop studies and strategic advisory
- Developing practical solutions to multifaceted problems
- Applying offshore wind experience to the ongoing commercialization of fixed and floating offshore wind
- Managing complex, multidisciplinary project and communicating with clients in offshore wind projects
- Supporting our Clients to successfully deliver offshore wind projects in Australia and globally
- Being involved in technical spearhead topics (design and engineering related) and working on improvement applicable to the Australian market
Your qualifications
- A minimum of 7-10 years of working experience in consulting or project management in a professional environment related to offshore wind energy;
- Proven track record, industry reputation and network
- Has been a part of a project team for a recently executed offshore wind projects in some capacity
- Profound industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of offshore wind project development, design and engineering, project economics, risks and commercial aspects
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Regulatory Framework, Supply chain and Construction challenges
- Basic technical expertise in all core areas of an offshore wind farm, specialization / subject matter expertise of benefit
- Experience in negotiating and executing complex construction contracts (EPCI and BoP) would be beneficial
- The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in his day-to-day work tasks and topics, and be proactive in proposing innovative and optimised solutions to keep up with Ramboll standards and reputation
