Department Overview

The Information Security & Privacy Governance Department's Information Security Management Office is responsible for formulating Rakuten Group's information security policies and planning, operating, and promoting the information security governance framework. Additionally, it collaborates with related departments to plan various security measures and deploy these measures across the entire group.

Position:

Position Details

The Vice Senior Manager in this position is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of the status of information security measures for group companies in the Asia Pacific region (mainly Singapore, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and India).
 

The role also involves managing the community of CISOs and information security personnel in each group company, ensuring smooth information sharing within the community. Additionally, the specialist will manage the information security specialists stationed at Rakuten ASIA, the regional headquarters of Rakuten Group located in Singapore, and oversee the implementation of security measures at Rakuten ASIA.
 

This position offers the opportunity to work globally by supporting the formulation and implementation of security requirements for various services of group companies in the Asia Pacific region.

Position Responsibilities

- Support the implementation of Rakuten Group's information security policies in group companies in the Asia Pacific region and provide feedback to the policy formulation group.

- Promote ISO/IEC27001 certification activities, risk management, and risk mitigation planning and implementation in group companies in the Asia Pacific region.

- Act as the responsible person for ISO/IEC27001 certification activities at Rakuten ASIA.

- Handle security incidents (identifying issues, supporting containment) and assist the relevant headquarters department in preparing reports for executives.

- Provide information security training for employees at Rakuten ASIA and support the rollout of security education for employees in group companies in the Asia Pacific region.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Over 7 years of experience in information security or internal information systems management.

- Experience in implementing and operating security solutions in collaboration with internal IT departments.

- Experience in responding to information security incidents.

Desired Qualifications:

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) qualification.

- Information Processing Security Support Specialist (IPA) qualification/Japan.

- Experience and knowledge related to ISMS ISO/IEC27001 certification activities.

- Experience in building and operating on public cloud services.
