This System Division handles everything from system service planning related to payment services, planning and implementation related to UI/UX, basic and detailed system design, coding, testing, and operation.

Job Description
   In order to ensure the Rakuten Cash services work stable so that users use our service with safe and confident, we will ask you to work as a system engineer to do service operation and to improve service operation and maintenance itself. Service operation means the necessary tasks necessary to maintain service, such as service monitoring, trouble investigation and management, and regular operation. In order to carry out these operations, it is necessary to collaborate with other departments, such as those in charge of development of back-end, mobile, and other services' operations so the position requires a high level of communication skills. In terms of service operations, as you know, regarding Rakuten Cash and Rakuten Edy, we have to proceed improvement activities daily basis to keep the expanding our services as payment platform. Naturally some members come from abroad, so you can improve their English communication skills.

Rakuten Cash and Rakuten Edy's Engineering Leader Candidate for Operation Maintenance Group
- Management of service operation business
- Arrange, negotiate each operation tasks from internals / externals (incl. resource managements)
- Promotes activities for troubleshooting and improvement activities
- Improvements of service operation tasks
- Make a plan and Promotion and Managements for improvements for service availability and mandatory task for service continuity
- Discover issues, includes not only tangible but also potential, on our services and improvement activities

Among the employees in the Operation Maintenance Group, there are mid-careers, young graduates in 2023, and there are also foreign nationals. Other members come from a variety of backgrounds, including outsourcing, partner staff, and contract employees, and are able to work in an environment where they can utilize their strengths and have their own career plans.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- More than 3 years’ experience of maintenance/operation system.
- More than 3 years’ experience developing backend applications.
- Experiences of team management (incl. project managements)
- Japanese (Native level)
- English (Business Level)

- Experience with mission-critical services
- Experience in developing and operating services with large-scale users
- Experiences of BtoB services
- Domain knowledge of Fintech. (Especially electronic payment service)
- Experience using Atlassian collaboration tools. (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
- RDBMS, App Server knowledge and experience
- Container/virtualized environments knowledge and experience
- Experience in improving operational efficiency
- Experience in trouble shooting/ managing improvement
