Position:

We are hiring to supplement our sales and project management team while one of our employees is on an 18-month parental leave. This will ensure we do not miss any sales opportunities and maintain our service levels.

Position Details

Rakuten Insight Global is a leader in market research data collection, with over 25 years of experience. We combine first-party data with rigorous quality assurance processes to offer our clients trusted research services for Asia, US, and beyond. Our dedicated local support teams manage proprietary online panels in 12 major Asian markets and the US, meeting the highest industry standards. With 24-hour coverage from 11 worldwide locations, we provide exceptional service to over 500 clients globally.

Major business activities
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, promptly addressing inquiries and resolving issues to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure their needs are met, identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and contribute to overall sales goals.
- Develop and implement strategic account management plans aimed at maximizing client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
- Support quotation requests by checking feasibility and obtaining pricing from partners if needed, and providing clients with comprehensive research solutions, ensuring competitive and holistic service offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and the delivery of high-quality research services, enhancing client satisfaction and supporting sales objectives.
- Monitor client accounts to ensure timely project completion, proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to client retention, and manage sales revenue forecasts.

Work Environment

We have one manager, one sales representative based in Korea, one sales assistant in Japan supporting Japanese clients, and two contractors supporting project operations.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Interpersonal Skills and Communication
- Analytical Skills and Research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Japanese and English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in market research or related field is a plus

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience in the online research industry
- Experience in sales within the market research industry

Additional information on English Qualification

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country)
In this case, it is necessary to achieve a TOEIC Score exceeding 800 after joining Rakuten in order to be eligible to become a regular employee.
If no evidence is available to prove the qualifications denoted above, taking an IP test, organized by Rakuten, during selection process is required.
