Business Overview

The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) is responsible for building and operating the infrastructure and ecosystem platforms which power the Rakuten Group. Our mission is to provide our Rakuten Cloud and Ecosystem Platforms which will deliver Core Value to accelerate the growth of Rakuten Group services

Department Overview

The role of the Technology Platforms Office (TPO) is to elevate TPD through cross-department strategic initiatives and project management excellence. The Cross PJM Section leads the implementation of standardized best practices, processes, and artifacts in project management for the entire Technology Platforms Division.


Overall Position Details

As part of TPO's Cross-Project Management Section, we are seeking a versatile leader who can contribute to and enable us to achieve our challenging section goals.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for standardizing project management processes across all departments, automating project reporting, and developing innovative solutions to enhance our project management capabilities.

You will be part of a dynamic and multicultural team that is always ready to tackle new challenges for the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

- Establish and continuously improve the project governance framework (processes, templates, and other forms of shared documentation).

- Create and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders across the company.

- Help and lead teams to implement project management best practices and standards.

- Create and implement data visualization solutions to present project data in an accessible and actionable manner.

- Automate project reporting to provide real-time insights and analytics.

- Develop and maintain data flows to streamline data integration and processing.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions that improve project management and reporting.

- Analyze data, create reports, and support decision-making processes.

- Guide, mentor, and train peers.


Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in project management.

- Strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and excellent communication skills.

- Strong stakeholder management skills to build relationships, promote, and drive changes.

- Experience in influencing, negotiating with, and providing challenges to management-level stakeholders.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web development and customization.

- Experience in data visualization tools and techniques.


Desired Qualifications:

- Knowledge of various project management principles and methodologies.

- Proficiency in PowerPoint and design skills for creating compelling presentations.

- Experience in creating and managing data flows.

- In-depth knowledge of JIRA, including workflows, screens, and customizations.

- Experience with DOMO.

- MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

- Willingness to explore and adopt new tools and technologies.
