Position Details

Overview: The Senior Data Scientist will lead analytical projects, develop sophisticated predictive models, and extract actionable insights from large datasets. This role involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure the successful deployment and impact of AI models on business strategies.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Marketing/Ad Industry Knowledge and Experience

- At least 5 years of experience in data science, specifically within the marketing or advertising industry.

- Demonstrated experience leading data science projects with measurable business impacts.

- Expertise in model building, tuning, and applying data science in business scenarios.

Fundamental Business Skills

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable manner.

- Proficient in visualizing data effectively for various projects or studies.

- Exceptional technical writing skills.

Technical Skills

- Programming Skills: Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as Python, and database query languages like SQL and Hive.

- Statistics: Strong applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, and maximum likelihood estimators.

- Machine Learning: Advanced knowledge of machine learning methods such as k-Nearest Neighbors, Naive Bayes, SVM, and Decision Forests.

- Math Skills: Strong understanding of Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra.

- Data Wrangling: Proficiency in handling imperfections in data.

- Data Visualization: Experience with tools like matplotlib, ggplot, d3.js, and Tableau.

- Software Engineering: A strong background in software engineering is a significant plus.

- Education: Minimum of a Master's degree, preferred PhD in Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Language Requirements

Proficiency in English (required).

Japanese language skills (highly desirable but not mandatory).

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
