The FinTech System Development Department is the most distinctive feature of the department that provides cross-functional services for Rakuten Group's FinTech (financial) services (Rakuten Card, Rakuten Pay, Rakuten Edy, Rakuten Point Card, etc.). As a cross-functional department that does not specialize in one business, you will be able to gain knowledge of the market trends and operations of Rakuten's various FinTech services.
In terms of AI, we are also a CoE (Center of Excellence) organization responsible for promoting AI within the FinTech group companies.
Within FinTech services, we create value through AI awareness and training activities, execution of AI projects, and building a data infrastructure that can be used across FinTech services.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in machine learning, data analysis, data visualization, or related development.
- Familiarity with typical machine learning algorithms.
- Understanding of typical evaluation methods for machine learning models.
- Programming skills (Python, R, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience with SQL and databases.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others both inside and outside of the team.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience leading teams of developers and analysts.
- A keen interest in new technologies and tools.
- Experience in practical application of data- and AI-enabled systems and services
