Department Overview

In the Commerce Company (an internal company for e-commerce business centered on Rakuten Ichiba), which is the center of Rakuten Group,

We are looking for a Web Analyst and Data Analyst to analyze user behavior and user attributes on the site and propose short- and long-term improvements based on the data.

The job is related to the entire Rakuten Market, so we are looking for someone who can communicate proactively with members from diverse backgrounds, and who has the ability to discover issues on his/her own and lead to solutions.

Position Details

Based on quantitative and qualitative analysis of “Rakuten Ichiba” as a whole (especially traffic, although purchase data is also handled) and user surveys,

The successful candidate will work closely with other teams within and outside of the department to link analysis results to actions for improvement.

- Site analysis and user analysis to maximize the distribution scale of Rakuten Ichiba as a whole.

- Propose content improvements for various event pages, etc.

- KPI tracking and environment building.

- Data analysis for strategic planning (purchase data analysis, traffic data analysis, NPS research, market research, industry analysis, etc.).

- Data extraction on an ad hoc basis, and support for research surveys.

- Documentation of analysis results and presentation of proposals.

- Share your specialized skills within the department (study groups, training instructors, etc.).

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in data processing and analysis in a previous position (SQL experience and site analysis using access analysis tools such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics).

- Ability to solve problems, think strategically, and design hypotheses.

- Ability to balance individual and team work style.

 

Desired Qualifications:

- Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with the team in charge of the project to promote the project.

- The ability to listen and understand the situation and requirements of each team in charge, and the on-site sense to understand the situation of others, and a positive attitude to discover and solve problems on one's own.

- Experience with various BI tools such as DOMO.

Additional information on English Qualification

TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.
