Department Overview
The EC Incubation and Development Department (hereinafter referred to as “ECID”), to which this position belongs, is responsible for various EC services such as the flea market apps Rakuma and Rebates , and Rakuten Healthcare.

Position Details
- You will first be working as a Tech Lead for the SRE team.
- Building and operating networks in AWS/GoogleCloud
- Building infrastructure infrastructure based on Kubernetes
- Development and operation to automate operations Monitoring, alert configuration, and operation to ensure service uptime, incidents, and capacity planning
- Planning of mid- to long-term development plans
- Architectural design review and technical consultation for development team projects
After assuming a manager position, you will be involved in the following tasks: - Leading the team in the direction it is moving forward.
- Leading the team in the direction it is headed and supporting the team in removing obstacles to its progress.
- Manage human, material, and financial resources, and work to hire and procure as needed to maximize the team's results.
- You will be responsible for monitoring the team's development quality and processes, and supporting and remediating through the review and approval process when they fall short of expected standards.
- Assist in the success of projects and improvement of the development process, sometimes using his/her engineering and producing experience.
- Understands and recognizes subordinates through feedback, holds them accountable, and develops them through goal setting and evaluation.
- Communicate the status of subordinates transparently to the boss, and communicate the status of the subordinates to the boss.
Work Environment
You will be responsible for managing a team of about 10 people in a team leader position and a team of about 15 people in a manager position.
Mandatory Qualifications:
・Experience as a tech lead, system architect, or senior engineer in the development/maintenance of web services.
・Business-level Japanese communication skills.
・Experience in designing, developing, and operating on AWS or Google Cloud
Experience in operating systems using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
・Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
・Experience in developing and operating CI/CD pipelines.
・Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP.
・Experience in building and operating tools for automating various operations.
Desired Qualifications:
・Experience in developing web applications.
・Development experience in adding features and fixing bugs in applications or middleware to improve performance and reliability.
・Experience in developing and operating with MySQL.
・Experience in managing, recruiting, and evaluating personnel from diverse cultures/nationalities.
・Business-level or higher English communication skills
