Cloud Engineer Manager / Leader, Rakuma Service - EC Incubation Department (ECID)

Department Overview

The EC Incubation and Development Department (hereinafter referred to as “ECID”), to which this position belongs, is responsible for various EC services such as the flea market apps Rakuma and Rebates , and Rakuten Healthcare.

Rakuten Rakuma” was created in February 2018 through the integration of ‘Frill,’ Japan's first frima application launched in July 2012, and ‘Rakuma’ operated by Rakuten. By expanding the “Circle of Circulation,” where things are circulated without abandonment through the power of connection, and by building a world of EC where anyone can easily play an active role, we aim to revitalize the circulation market and contribute to the realization of a recycling-oriented society.

With the “Re:valuation” - Redefine the value of something in its mission, we are working as a team of producers, designers and engineers. 

What users’ problem do you want to solve? What should we do to make more users happy? We are required to constantly think about them and improve and develop our service. 

The development team consists of a variety of professionals, including producers and designers. We are working hard every day to make better service by making use of each specialty.

As you gain experience in the field, you will gradually broaden your scope of work and progress to a manager position to lead the team and the service. 

Rakuma has been rebranded in 2022. From the conventional worldview of "CtoC" where consumers buy and sell, it became a place to create points of contact with the products listed by business sellers. 

In addition, we will continue to expand functions to create a new EC platform that creates a circulation of people and goods with Rakuten Ichiba, one of the largest EC platforms in Japan, and contributes to the formation of a recycling-oriented society. 

We are looking for manager or leader candidates who want to be involved in the growth of the service while playing a role in enriching society and acquiring new revenue sources for the Rakuten Group.
