You will play an essential role within our core engineering team by maintaining and enhancing existing J2EE/JSP applications and assisting with the Spring Boot migration processes whenever possible. You will have the opportunity to innovate and improve to further optimize our business. You will be exposed to cutting-edge e-commerce and web services technologies and work in a collaborative learning environment. Responsibilities

• Assist in the support and deployment of backend functionality and APIs for our online content-rich properties.
• Help the team investigate production issues and provide technical support to our clients and publishers.

Requirements

• Some hands-on experience in Java with a basic understanding of Object-Oriented Design (internships or academic projects are acceptable).
• Basic knowledge of J2EE, Spring Framework, Web Services, REST API, JSON, and XML parsers.
• Understanding of how web applications work, including knowledge of the HTTP protocol, request/response cycles, and session management.
• Familiarity with one or more application servers, preferably Tomcat.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and experience working with an RDBMS like Oracle or MySQL (coursework or projects are acceptable).
• Experience working in a UNIX and/or LINUX environment (coursework or projects are acceptable).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with project managers and engineering teams.
• BS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $75,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
