Job Description;

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in building and managing scalable backend systems using AWS Cloud, Node.js, MongoDB, Postgresql or MySQL or any other SQL database, and The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs that are secure, efficient, and highly available. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, database management, and backend development best practices.

Responsibilities;

Backend Development: Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs using Node.js.

Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize data storage solutions in MongoDB and Postgresql/MySQL to ensure data integrity and high performance.

Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, focusing on scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Service Monitoring: Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and resilience of backend services built for hosting on AWS cloud.

API Development & Integration: Develop secure, efficient, and well-documented APIs for integration with front-end and third-party services.

Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, including data encryption, secure access controls, and compliance with industry standards.

Performance Optimization: Optimize code, database queries, and AWS configurations to improve system performance and reduce latency.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (frontend developers, product managers, DevOps) to define and execute development goals.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in backend development, with at least 3 years focusing on cloud-based architectures and services

Primary Technical skills: Senior Backend Cloud Developer with a strong background in building and managing scalable backend systems using AWS Cloud, Node.js, MongoDB, Postgresql or MySQL or any other SQL database

  Strong exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure, using various AWS cloud services in real time projects will be great

  AWS Cloud Certification will be a plus

Required Skills:

Node.js: Strong experience in backend development using Node.js, including frameworks like Express.js.

Databases: Proficient with both MongoDB (NoSQL) and MySQL (SQL), with hands-on experience in database design, indexing, and optimization.

AWS Cloud: In-depth experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway. Familiarity with IAM, VPCs, and load balancing.

API Development: Expertise in developing and managing RESTful APIs and experience with GraphQL is a plus.

CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline).

Security Best Practices: Experience implementing security best practices (e.g., JWT, OAuth2, HTTPS) and understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes or AWS ECS is a plus.

Code Management: Strong Git and version control skills.

 Experience with event driven architecture(e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)

 Exposure on caching technologies like Redis

 Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to resolve issues in real time for production issues
