As a Sr. Embedded Software Validation Engineer at Quatt, you will lead the validation efforts for embedded systems across our HVAC products. You will take ownership of testing embedded firmware, ensuring it meets the highest standards of reliability and performance. You’ll be a key player in enhancing our testing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements in testing infrastructure.

What you will do:

• Lead the development and implementation of testing strategies for embedded software, including unit, component, and integration testing, to ensure robust and reliable firmware quality.

• Design and build automated testing infrastructure (HIL/SIL) to enable efficient, accurate, and repeatable validation processes for embedded systems.

• Develop and maintain automated regression test plans, continuously analyzing and enhancing test suite coverage to catch potential issues early.

• Own the validation and release process for firmware updates, managing test strategy scoping, test execution, and final sign-off for customer releases.

• Drive continuous improvements in the testing setup, implementing new tools and refining automation frameworks to optimize testing efficiency.

• Enhance automation efforts across embedded testing processes, aiming to reduce manual testing efforts and expand coverage.

• Create and execute test plans to identify weaknesses and potential hardware design faults, ensuring system integrity.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software testing, with a strong focus on quality assurance and system validation.

• Hands-on expertise in testing methodologies for embedded systems, combined with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

• Familiarity with wired communication protocols (e.g., Modbus) and wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, Thread).

• Proficiency in version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes.

• Experience with automation frameworks and build tools is highly desirable.

• Ability to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics is a plus.
