We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who embodies ambition and positivity, takes ownership, and collaborates effectively with remote teams to not only meet but exceed our objectives while addressing the evolving needs of our growing customer base.
The hardware development team spans two global sites – one in Tel Aviv and one in Copenhagen. The two teams collaborate seamlessly across projects, fostering open communication, creativity, and commitment. The hardware team is responsible for all hardware at QM, spanning from room-temperature control hardware to our cryogenic QPU carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process for a variety of product lines.
- Design and develop hardware assemblies, heat-sinks, pannels for electronic circuits.
- Design and develop hardware assemblies for test and measurement equipment, ensuring manufacturability and smooth integration of electrical components.
- Prototype and iterate including 3D printing, fast prototyping and hands-on adjustments to refine designs before full-scale manufacturing.
- Collaborate with external manufacturers and suppliers to ensure high-quality production.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicists, mechanical engineers, electronics engineers, and project managers.
- Focus on execution within assigned projects, taking ownership while remaining self-driven and proactive.
- Contribute to the team’s innovation and problem-solving through active participation and collaboration.
Requirements
- BA or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including PLM.
- Experience with box building and industrial R&D.
- Expertise in 3D printing for rapid prototyping and iteration.
- Knowledge of CE and other certification processes is an advantage.
- Experience with Thermal analysis with Icepack is an advantage.
- Creative problem-solver who can quickly generate and validate new concepts.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex designs.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and drive projects forward while maintaining focus on deadlines.
- Team-oriented, with a collaborative mindset and open communication.
- Actively engaged in team dynamics, contributing ideas and support to colleagues.
- English: Professional working proficiency.
- Danish: Advantageous but not required.
