The Software Engineer is a key player in Quantum Health’s rapidly-expanding technology organization. The engineering team supports business processes and transformation efforts by designing, delivering and deploying innovative solutions across the enterprise that combine elements of the Microsoft stack with leading cloud, open source, and front-end technologies. They collaborate regularly with Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Database Administrators (DBAs) and other Engineers to ensure maintenance, enhancement and creation of high-quality web applications.
About the team: Quantum Health is investing heavily in the Integrations team, because integrations are at the core of building effective, user-friendly platforms. As a member of this team, you’ll build tools that connect the Quantum Health experience for our members, ultimately simplifying their healthcare journey. What you’ll do
- Design, develop and maintain custom applications responsible for the mission-critical operations of Quantum Health in a predominantly object-oriented, .NET development environment.
- Partner with business unit leaders and teams to clarify requirements and business needs and translate those requirements into best-in-class technical results.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers/engineers and architects to determine optimal solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability and scalability of solutions.
- Proactively work with stakeholders from technology teams and elsewhere in the business to ensure that current and planned solutions are equipped to meet the growth and transformation needs of our rapidly scaling organization.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, CIS or equivalent.
- 1-3 years track record in .NET application development
- 1-3 years SQL Server or equivalent SQL development experience.
- Experience in design, development, delivery, and support of technology platforms based in the Microsoft technology stack, including Windows Server, IIS, .NET.
- Experience with Windows Service, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, Web API, VueJS.
- Experience with Kafka is a PLUS.
- Experience with NoSQL/document databases as a PLUS
- Understanding of healthcare data and processes is a PLUS.
- Experience with Cloud computing concepts (Azure/AWS) is PLUS.
- Experience with mobile development (IOS, Android, Xamarin) is a PLUS.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD is a PLUS.
- Good planning and organizational skills with critical attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work with team members and customers in a professional, friendly manner.
