System Developer II - Provo, UT

Why We Have This Role

The Business Applications Developer is responsible for maintaining the usability, stability, and security of Qualtrics's corporate SaaS applications and scaling the systems & team processes via automations. The team governs system utilization, provide technical support to end-users, and implement system changes or upgrades in order to drive efficiency & effectiveness of the systems.

Our developers are the catalysts for process improvement through automation within BizApps systems. To continue scaling, we need to build smarter processes that let our employees focus on what’s meaningful. As a developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal platforms that will allow the company to scale faster.

  • Collaborating effectively with teams across different functions to provide guidance on development best practices & recommendations.

How You’ll Grow

  • Expanding technical proficiency in relevant systems - particularly in Mavenlink, Workramp, & Tableau
  • Helping team scale by reducing admin overhead via provisioning automations
  • Understanding development roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
  • Developing leadership skills through project leadership and mentorship.
  • Setting goals, tracking progress, and creating action plans for professional growth.

Things You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and resolve issues.
  • Code for platforms using a variety of languages including JavaScript, Python, Lightning Web Components, APEX, and SOQL. (Don’t worry if you don’t know them all right now! We’ve all learned new languages on this team.)
  • Identify and reduce system technical debt.
  • Execute all phases of software development projects including resolving issues, escalating when necessary, and helping to ensure a successful deployment.
  • Build scalable solutions that incorporate best practices and set the standard for system architecture and design.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Mathematics preferred).
  • 1+ years of development experience in a complex environment preferred.
  • Experience successfully working along side other developers and administrators in a collaborative code/declarative environment.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting within technical systems
  • Experience with scripting and APIs for ETL operations preferred.
  • Fluent in English
