General Summary:

Looking for self-sufficient motivated individuals, experienced in System Testing at various levels of Cellular Products.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge technology and join a dynamic team in the process of building next-generation end-to-end systems for 5G NR.

You will be involved in the Integration and Validation of the large SW systems that are part of advanced 5G NR gNB infrastructure with focus on DU and RU solutions including RF, PHY, MAC protocols and layers. You will be required to perform various duties in Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) such as test planning, integration, execution, and automation of the Qualcomm gNB L1 solution using Qualcomm RU and DU platforms. The candidate will also be involved in very low level details of the nFAPI, ORAN and 3GPP specifications for functional, stability, and conformance testing.

Job also involves log analysis, debugging, troubleshooting, JIRA/CR ticketing, Stability and Performance activities. This position will expose you to Qualcomm’s cutting edge SoC, HW platforms, as well as the 5G NR system specifications. 

 

Candidates must have great interest in new technologies, proactive, willing to learn and working in a lab environment with hands-on approach to work assignments.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to collaborate well within same or across geographical locations in a technical environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

 Minimum Qualifications

·  Good Analytical and Social Communication Skills.

·  Acumen to read and understand the 3GPP specifications and come up with innovative test design and methodologies using industry standard equipment.

·  Strong fundamentals in Wireless communications, Digital Signal Processing, Information & Coding Theory.

·  0-3 years of test experience in one or more of following radio access technologies.

o  5G NR, LTE, UMTS, Wifi with focus on RRC, RLC, MAC, PHY, RF testing, Network functions.

·  Experience with test equipment such as channel emulator, spectrum analyzers and signal generators, real UEs, and network entities.

 

·  Preferred Qualifications

·  Experience working in design and development of 5G NR/ LTE gNB/eNB RF/PHY layer testing scenarios and/or ORAN and nFAPI specification testing scenarios is preferable

·  Experience in debugging complex SW/HW issues.

·  Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment.

·  Knowledge of Qualcomm QXDM, QCAT, JTAG debugger is an added advantage.

·  Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python is required to perform various tasks at work.

·  Interest and exposure to leverage AI based tools at work for productivity.

 

·  Educational Requirements

·  Required: Bachelor’s in engineering, Electronic communication

·  Preferred: Master’s in electronic communication, Electrical Engineering
