About the Role

We are seeking a software verification and testing team lead and manager to join our machine learning verification team. This is a fast-paced team working on cutting edge software to enable the future of AI on DSPs. The lead will be responsible for ensuring that the software sent to customers works out of the box for any model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verification of complex systems and will be able to use that background to create new standards for testing machine learning software.

The verification lead will be responsible for driving quality in a highly complex system by implementing new processes, aligning requirements across multiple organizations, and driving the development of new tools to create efficient testing processes. The lead will be asked to grow the team to 5-10 engineers to accomplish these goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in verification, excellent leadership and communication skills, experience in writing software, strong analytical and technical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.

 

Responsibilities will include: 

• · Lead a team of 5-10 engineers to develop a verification process for complex machine learning optimization software
• · Define acceptance criteria, performance metrics, and test accuracy
• · Work closely with the development team to clarify requirements, provide feedback on code quality, drive documentation improvements, and ensure defects identification and resolution occurs on time
• · Drive the team to meet the highest code and product quality standards
• · Guide the team to understand and meet customer requirements
• · Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts

What are we looking for? 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant discipline. A master’s degree is preferable.
• 10+ years of practical experience in software engineering
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
• Experience with compilers or software optimized for specific hardware
• Leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with distributed systems
• Experience with batch compute
• The ability to work independently and to collaborate with others.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
