The SAGA software team, within the larger Product and Tools Group at Qualcomm, develops software products, services, and platforms that enable key functionality and workflows for Qualcomm customers, Equipment Manufacturers, Independent Software Vendors, and App developers across the globe. From developer platforms to cloud API and analytics, we find the best ways to build engineering solutions that are cost-effective, available, scalable, secure, and forward-looking.
As part of the SAGA team, you will have the opportunity to work on a breadth of technologies from on-premise software to cloud development. Your code will matter - to the quality and efficiency of your mobile device, to your connected car, and to your smart home.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of Software Engineering and Cloud DevOps (AWS/Azure) related work experience.
- AWS, Azure DevOps/Solution-Architect certified engineers are preferred.
- Experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure) platforms through migrations, scaling, and day-to-day operations.
- Demonstrated ability to program using a high-level programming language or scripting language (Java, Python, Shell).
- Strong desire to drive automation in software development. Passionate about continuous build, integration, test, and delivery systems.
- Good understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud computing.
- Experience in implementing applications in private/public cloud infrastructure and container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiar with the following technologies:
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
- Configuration management tools: Terraform, AWS-CloudFormation, Ansible.
- Database: Postgres SQL, RDS, ElasticSearch, MySQL.
- Logging and monitoring: Splunk, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Fluentbit.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configure and deploy cloud services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) on various cloud providers.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipeline systems for project requirements on public cloud platforms.
- Expand capacity and improve the performance of current operational systems.
- Develop and implement new processes/tools to streamline manual operations and processes.
- Prioritize production-related issues along with other operational team members.
- Manage the organization's Cloud accounts on both AWS and Azure, along with application monitoring and support activities.
- Respond to service requests in your team's queue.
- Ensure that all cloud solutions follow internally defined security and compliance controls.

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$111,300.00 - $166,900.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
