Summer placement to investigate novel radio communications systems, targeting very low power consumption using advanced CMOS processes.  We are looking for a creative and self-motivated intern to work in our Cambridge office with our RF/analogue systems and circuits team on a new project. The project will involve analyzing and modelling performance, at system level using MatLab. During the internship, there will be an opportunity to perform detailed RF measurements on circuits within our specialized RF laboratory. 

Skills/Experience

Knowledge of radio transceiver architectures, key radio performance metrics, Matlab model writing and simulation. Experience with using Simulink is an advantage. Prior experience of working in a laboratory is also advantageous.

Responsibilities

This is for a summer placement of fixed duration. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a senior member of staff. The candidate is expected to complete and document the tasks so that models, analysis and derived specifications can be reused in future products.

Education Requirements

Studying for a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent. Preferably studying for a higher degree.
