Qualcomm India is seeking a Storage and Backup engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience in managing multi-vendor large scale Storage and Backup systems with Strong programming skills in python, Shell-scripting, Familiarity with Golang is a plus! 

Job Description:
This person will be a member of a global IT infrastructure team focused on enterprise Storage, backup, and recovery. We are looking for individuals with programming experience focused on interacting with databases, Rest APIs, and automation frameworks. With a large and complex environment, we are looking for an individual who is driven and excited to deep dive into operational processes and design automations to improve operational efficiencies and enable automated self-service services. We are looking for a well-organized self-starter who can create automation workflows and use tools such as PowerBi, PowerPoint, Visio, etc to convey automation design and illustrate efficacies gained.large, fast-paced, and dynamic enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:
•    Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern full stack technologies.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
•    Implement and integrate machine learning models and AI algorithms into web applications.
•    Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
•    Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
•    Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
•    Working with various vendors

Prospective candidate should be technically sound in the following. 
•    This is an on-premise position 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•    3-4 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.
•    Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (Ex: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
•    Solid experience with back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or .NET).
•    Experience in building the APIs for the applications being developed so that other tools can use the data.
•    Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL).
•    Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
•    Familiarity with AI concepts and tools (NLP, computer vision, deep learning).
•    Good to have some experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•    Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
•    Willingness to work in other time zones where the global team is located for project collaboration.
•    Ability to communicate and provide training for teammates on technologies that you have expertise in
•    Understanding of how an Operating Systems such as Linux and Windows works – Knowledge of OS commands will also be helpful.
•    Understanding of Networks (IP addresses, subnets, DHCP, DNS etc)
•    Development experience in Python, JavaScript, Perl, and/or Grails
•    Experience building and troubleshooting Jenkins Pipelines
•    In-depth knowledge and practical experience of Rest APIs
•    Understands Git Version Control
•    Software deployment via Kubernetes
•    Have familiarity with Enterprise Storage platforms
•    Presentation skills in Microsoft Powerpoint and Visio
•    Solid communication/presentation skills, comfortable presenting to all levels of management and engineering teams
•    Drives technical conversations to ensure the right path is followed to project completion
•    Collaborates with business partners to identify system solutions or other complex technical information
•    Networks with colleagues across the organization to gain insights, ideas, and connections

Prospective candidates having following is an added advantage.
•    Candidates should have a passion for automation tools, Machine Learning tools and technologies that improve storage infrastructure and provisioning.)
•    Basic knowledge on Splunk queries and Splunk Dashboards
•    Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
•    Knowledge of data engineering and big data technologies.
•    Understanding of the IT infrastructure such as Networks, Data Centers, Servers and Storage

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
OR
Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing) and 1+ year of IT-relevant experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of IT-relevant experience.

• 2+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with programming (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).
• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
