Be part of the team that is developing the next generation automobile.  Your work could help enable the next generation dashboard, active noise suppression, birds eye view surround view camera system, drive you to work with our ADAS platform or even save your own life with one of our many safety features in the next car you buy.   Work with the leading edge Snapdragon Automotive systems that supply most of the major Car makers around the globe.  Join our team in the Qualcomm Markham location and help change what your next car will be. 

Programming Languages:   

• C & C++ 
• ARM Assembly 
• Java, Python, Perl Javascript 

*not all required for every project 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong programming and debugging skills with experience in C/C++
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Good communications and teamworking skills
• Self-motivated, hardworking, and flexible

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Knowledge in (or in progress of studying) Computer Organizations and Operating Systems
• Knowledge or study in one or more of the following:
  • Video codec standards, decode & encode processes
  • Graphics rendering, drivers, standard API’s: Vulkan or OpenGLES
  • Computer Vision, OpenCV
  • Audio processing, standard audio API’s and frameworks
  • Display technologies and interfaces
  • Camera sensors, interfaces, color spaces, image formats
• Experience with working on embedded systems or RTOS’s
• Experience or study related to SW development for Safety
• Basic understanding of electronics, comfortable reading schematics and working with HW debug tools 

Educational Requirements:  

• In study towards a bachelors degree in one of the following: electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field 
• For 16 month internships must be available May 2025 - August 2026
