General Summary:

QCT Multimedia Camera System group creates embedded camera and imaging solutions for Qualcomm chipsets that power today’s most advanced IOT products. With dedicated hardware, multi-core processors and GPU, QCT imaging solutions achieve state of the art video/photo quality, and target applications requiring auto white balance, auto exposure control, auto focus, automatic scene detection and compensation.

 

Key Responsibilities:
* Developing camera auto exposure control (AEC) and auto focus (AF) algorithm for IP camera, sport camera, drone camera, and robotic camera. 
* Working with software teams to implement the new algorithms. The work includes the proper documentation and the verification approach for SW engineers. 
* Working with the test teams to design test methods for the algorithms and to facilitate the test of the new algorithms before SW release. 
* Working with customer engineers to solve various 3A issues. 
* Providing internal technical training courses.

Minimum Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience in AEC or AF camera algorithm.

* Experience debugging and optimizing image quality issues in complex camera pipelines.

* Good experience with Programming Language C++.

* Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

* Hands-on experience developing algorithms for embedded devices.

* Working knowledge of Linux development and debugging environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Phase Detection (PD) algorithm is a big plus.

* Strong hands-on experience in AEC/AWB tuning, tuning strategy development, and image quality optimization.

* Familiarity with Qualcomm camera tools and workflows, including platforms involving ISP-based tuning and validation.

* Experience in large-scale software projects.

* A self-driven and collaborative working style, with the ability to operate effectively across teams and project phases.

 

Education Requirements

* Master's, Imaging/Color/Optics Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, and/or related field.
* Preferred: Doctorate, Imaging/Color/Optics Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, and/or related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
