General Summary:

As an Engineering Technician, you will frequently collaborate with Engineers across Qualcomm to optimize the utilization of our equipment and components. You will play a key role in the preliminary stages of our technical processes. Engineering Technicians will also be responsible for upkeeping and implementing operations and safety standards in the workplace to ensure all components of our equipment is properly handled.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
OR
Associate's degree and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of Engineering Technician or related work experience.

Physical Requirements:
•    Frequently transports and installs equipment weighing at least 25 lbs.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Setup system level test setup for Rack’s and Bench setup

- Setup and test devices according to Engineers instructions through Remote request.
- Support remote access request (test setup, changing of device, testing, and collecting results,) through phone, emails, and online system.
- Support ad-hoc/special request like Engineering upgrades and evaluation.
- Perform Test hardware debug and repair. 
- Compile engineering and operational reports. 
- Assembly of new instruments on benches.
- Coordinate and execute equipment relocation (including incoming and outgoing).
- Perform/coordinate PM, calibration and repair of Lab equipment’s and Bench instruments as needed
- Support initial equipment setup, recipe creation and kit qualification.
- Track and control Engineering parts used in testing and do regular inventory to ensure parts are not missing.
- Track spares usage and inventory and generate report regularly or as needed if count is running low.
- Track and maintain all boards/Cards/Cables/accessory used in lab

- Upkeep System level diagnostic labs for Racks and Benches

- Hands-on debugging/triaging experience for faulty boards, PCB.

- Physically fit and agile to handle equipment/boards installed in Rack/Bench setup.

Minimum Qualifications

- At least 2 years’ experience working on different System Level Test setups, Single site/Multi site handlers and operating Lab equipment’s. 
- Hands-on experience on bench setups
- Good communication skill in both written and oral.

- Basic know how of Excel and Web browser working.

- Able to do basic operations on Windows PC.

Preferred Qualifications

-    Ability to write some basic scripts is preferred for Automation
-    Document lesson learnt and implement for future
