🤝 Your future team
The Data Platform is composed of two additional teams:
Data Engineers: Focused on systems, Flink, and infrastructure.
Another team of Analytics Engineers: Focused on normalizing organization and customer data (your team is focused on the Bank Account & Transactions side of the domain).
🏅About You
Experience: While years of practice are not a perfect measure of experience, we believe that 8 to 10 years in data modeling, with expertise in data architecture, data management, and both normalized and denormalized styles of data modeling, is a reasonable prerequisite for this role.
Skills: Complete mastery of SQL is required, along with a deep understanding of data conception, normalization, and the ability to create future-proof data models. Familiarity with the ecosystem, including DBT, Airflow, Apache Flink, Iceberg, and Snowflake, is a "nice-to-have" skill set.
Mentoring: You care about growing and mentoring people. The Staff Engineer role requires technical leadership, is inspirational to teammates, and has an influence beyond the team.
Mindset: Nothing is too challenging; you think mid/long-term and bring innovative solutions. You are a recognized figure in the industry or are keen to become one.
Flexibility: Open to remote work in any market.
🏃♂️ Next Steps: If you are passionate about data modeling and want to be part of a team that values innovation and excellence, we would love to hear from you. Please apply with your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience and why you are a great fit for this role.
