The Software Engineer (Fullstack) Role

We are a cloud native development team with a reputation for developing high quality backend micro-services with a focus on access control and other identity management key services supporting a SaaS platform for the Qlik Sense product suite.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

• Joining a team of developers owning access control and identity management services in a multi-tenant SaaS solution supporting thousands of signups per month.
• Participating in all aspects of software engineering including designing, planning, coding, verifying, integrating, releasing, monitoring, supporting and maintaining.
• Collaborating with managers, architects, site reliability engineers, quality assurance verifiers, and security office specialists to advance the team roadmap.
• Reviewing architectural proposals to ensure a sound solution that doesn’t compromise expansion, scale, performance and robustness.
• Utilizing an Agile software engineering process to continuously deliver and deploy quality and feature improvements in a cloud environment.
• Engaging in sprint cycle around planning with estimation, daily scrum, demo and retrospective.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• Experience in Software development, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles, building production-quality software in large-scale data environments.
• Strong coding ability.
• Passionate problem-solving mindset.
• Desire to learn and grow.
• Building relationships and coordinating with other teams.
• Understanding and creating best practices and standards.
• Proficiency in Golang, Node.js, or both
• Experience delivering cloud SaaS software leveraging microservices, RESTful APIs, MongoDB and Redis.
• Understand containerization and deployment on Linux using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React is an asset.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $125,000 – $130,000 CDN per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
