The Technical Learning Developer Role

 

This position requires a technical resource in Qlik Cloud whose primary responsibilities will be developing engaging and hands-on instructor-led and self-paced curricula.  This candidate must have relevant, practical hands-on experience from the field.

 

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

 

  • Responsible for designing the general product curriculum, defining training/learning objectives, and creating innovative and impactful business cases that drive practical learning experiences
  • Play an active role in defining, developing, and maintaining technical course material and lab guides and cloud-based lab environments
  • Translate business requirements and education needs into draft technical training materials for further review
  • Create course materials in various mediums covering instructional design, video script writing, and eLearning authoring tools such as Intullum Evolve
  • Partner effectively with other curriculum developers, instructional designers, technical trainers, training managers, project managers, and internal stakeholders
  • Update and modify course contents to reflect any changes in the procedures or technology discussed in the course
  • Build enablement materials and support resources to aid the instructor community in delivering the course effectively 

 

You will be successful if you are

 

  • A strong technical resource with a background in Business Intelligence, proficient in Qlik Sense
  • Knowledgeable and have hands-on experience with a range of Business Intelligence tools
  • Knowledgeable of course development and lab tools such as Evolve (or similar eLearning tools) and Google Cloud Platform (or similar lab environment tool)
  • Experienced in writing and editing training course materials, white papers, presentations and/or analysis documents
  • Experienced in developing video scripts and storyboards
  • Experienced in developing micro-learning resources for short just-in-time learning experiences
  • Detail orientated and consistent
  • A self-starter who is eager to learn and keep updated on relevant technology changes
  • Able to multi-task and execute in short and/or compressed timelines

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

  • Education in a technology field with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience with Qlik Sense or similar data visualization tools
  • Experience in consulting, implementation, or training role in a high-tech industry with at least one year of experience
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Analytical and intuitive problem-solving skills
  • A solid grounding in data storage and transmission technologies
  • Experience in developing within cloud provider environments, such as GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Worked in a global company with diverse cultures

  • Written instructional design submission:
    • Background theory of a technical process
    • Alignment of the technical process to a specific business outcome or use case
    • Step by step guide on how to complete a software application activity or task
    • Submissions should:
      • Be in English
      • May contain video and images
      • Be in PDF format with links to videos
