Join us at Qlik as a Frontend Software Engineer and become a driving force in crafting user interfaces that serve as the critical first touchpoint for our users. As an integral part of our team, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining platform-level UI components that intuitively combine our product’s capabilities and are reused across the organization. Your work will shape how users first experience and continuously interact with our product.

Passionate Team Collaboration: Join a passionate development team focused on enabling our customers to get the most out of their data, engaging in challenging software development projects and next-generation technologies.

Collaborate with Product Design: Work closely with product design teams to design and deliver critical functionalities that support our evolving product vision.

Evaluate New Technologies: Apply your expertise to identify and evaluate new technologies, ensuring the performance, maintainability, and reliability of our software systems.

Embrace Best Practices: Implement software engineering best practices, from CI/CD and automation to monitoring and security.

 

As part of our team, you will:

  • Build innovative User Interfaces using modern client technologies.
  • Prepare development plans for major feature deliveries.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other front end/back-end developers on features.
  • Provide PR reviews and mentorship to other junior developers.
  • Have end-to-end ownership of our features – you will be involved in design, development, testing and deploying to production cloud.

  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with design teams and fellow developers.

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 7+ years of experience in similar roles, building production-quality software in large-scale data and distributed environments.
  • Experienced with React, Typescript, or any modern JS framework.
  • Strong proficiency with Typescript / JavaScript, HTML, CSS and API Design.
  • Strength in developing responsive front ends, design patterns with performance and scalability in mind.
  • Knowledgeable in containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) and Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledgeable in unittest frameworks such as Jest and Vitest and E2E testing with Playwright.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000 CDN per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
