The Senior Data Engineer Role

This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a Senior Data Engineer role where you’ll not only design and build powerful data integration and infrastructure solutions, but also play a key role in shaping how data empowers decisions across the business. Working within the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of scalable data systems, working with a modern tech stack including Snowflake, AWS, Qlik, dbt, and Databricks. You'll also have the opportunity to support, train, and collaborate with teams globally, while taking the lead on data-driven initiatives that matter.

• Powering business decisions – Build the data solutions that give teams access to the insights they need, when they need them.
• Improving performance and reliability – Streamline infrastructure and ensure systems are scalable, secure, and always on.
• Setting best-in-class standards – Establish and promote engineering best practices that others across the business will follow.
• Driving consistency and compliance – Ensure robust documentation, testing, and change control processes are in place and followed.
• Solving real-world problems – Bring your analytical thinking to the table and tackle complex challenges with elegant solutions.
• Leading with initiative – Take the reins on critical projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible with data at scale.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

•          BA/BS degree in Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related field

•          5+ years of building Data Engineering solutions

•          Excellent working knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake – preferably 3+ years on Snowflake or equivalent databases experience.

•          Strong experience with cloud technologies (preferably AWS), GitHub, Java/Python scripts. Message Queues (Kafka) and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes)

•          Working knowledge of Qlik products – i.e. QTC/Talend Studio and Qlik Apps

•          Advanced SQL skills and experience writing complex queries

•          Snowflake and/or AWS certifications will be a plus

•          Knowledge of other industry leading Data Management, Data Governance and Master Data Management tools

•          Good team player, along with strong relationship building skills

•          Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
