The Senior DevOps Engineer Role

 

Join Qlik’s Software Factory team as a DevOps Engineer, and help build the future of DevOps in a Data & AI world ! You will play a pivotal role in growing the DevOps culture at Qlik, as well as designing advanced pipeline systems enabling our R&D teams to efficiently develop, test, and deliver new features to Qlik customers.

 

Your work will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our strategic Qlik SaaS service pipeline, automating service releases, evangelizing best practices, and ensuring a smooth developer experience from idea to code in production.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:

 

CI/CD Expertise: Design and build robust CI/CD solutions for our SaaS product in an AWS environment, streamlining the development, integration and deployment processes.

 

Change Management: Help grow the DevOps culture at Qlik and drive change at scale. Ensure improvements are data-driven and user-focused.

 

Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Architecture, Platforms, and Domains, to deliver first-rate solutions and processes, supporting the R&D organization with expert guidance.

 

Problem Solving: Sharpen your analytical skills and solve complex problems, ensure our development teams are getting the best Developer Experience.

 

 

We’re looking for a teammate with:

 

  • 2+ years well-documented experience as DevOps Engineer/Software Developer/SRE.
  • Good analytical skills for solving complex problems and identifying broad perspectives for potential solutions.
  • Experience building microservices or at least a solid understanding of the principles of the microservice architecture.
  • Experience delivering enterprise cloud SaaS solutions based on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding containerization and deployment on Linux using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Strong passion for quality and customer success.
  • Willingness to work with geographically distributed teams across various time zones.
  • Experience with any of the following would be a plus: GoLang, ArgoCD, GitHub/GitHub Actions/GitHub API, Prometheus/Grafana.
