The AI Systems Engineer Role

As an AI Systems Engineer, your primary mission is to develop innovative solutions that enhance customer ROI from Qlik software through seamless AI integration. You will create advanced tools and applications that accelerate the adoption and migration of Qlik products, while also driving internal operational efficiencies. By leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our customers can fully capitalize on the capabilities of Qlik software, ultimately leading to greater business value and success.

•              Accelerate Product Adoption: Create tools and applications that streamline the adoption and migration of Qlik products, making it easier for customers to transition and utilize new features.

•              Drive Operational Efficiency: Implement AI-driven processes and systems that improve internal operations, reducing manual workloads and increasing overall productivity.

•              Innovate with AI Technologies: Leverage state-of-the-art AI models and frameworks to build innovative solutions that address customer needs and solve complex business problems.

•              Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to design and implement solutions that enhance the Qlik ecosystem.

•              Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends in AI and data management to ensure our solutions remain at the cutting edge of technology.

•              Enhance Customer Experience: Ensure that the solutions you develop meet the needs of our customers, improving their overall experience with our products.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

The ideal candidate will have experience and technical proficiency in the following areas:

• Back-End Development:
  •     Extensive experience in Python, Java, and/or Node.js for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance server-side applications.

• API Integration:
  •     Proven expertise in designing and integrating RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless and efficient communication between diverse systems and services.

• Cloud Platforms:
  •     In-depth knowledge of the AWS ecosystem, with hands-on experience in leveraging AWS Bedrock for advanced AI/ML services. Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) is highly desirable.

• Front-End Development:
  •     Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, with a strong track record of developing dynamic, user-friendly web applications using React.

• Identity and Access Management (IdAM):
  •     Comprehensive understanding of OIDC authentication protocols and hands-on experience with Okta for robust IdAM solutions. Expertise in implementing OAuth for secure authorization mechanisms.

• Databases:
  •     Strong proficiency with RDBMS technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  •     Extensive experience with modern data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and Databricks.
  •     Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Cassandra, for flexible, high-performance data management.

• LLM Integration:
  •     Demonstrated experience in integrating and deploying large language models via OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock, or HuggingFace connectors, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Model Fine-Tuning:
  •     Advanced knowledge of model fine-tuning techniques, including Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) or similar methods, to efficiently adapt pre-trained models to specific tasks.

• Prompting Frameworks and Templates:
  •     Expertise in utilizing prompting frameworks such as LangChain to develop sophisticated, prompt-based AI applications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $ 144,580.00 USD MIN – $ 17000.00 USD MAX per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
