About the AI Platform team

Join the Qlik AI Platform team to build next-generation AI services, enabling our customers to interact with their data more easily and naturally than ever before.

We are looking for experienced back-end software engineers interested in:

• Collaborative Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the AI Platform supports diverse use cases, including predictive, generative, and classification scenarios.
• Build for scale: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and specialists, to ensure scalable and high-performing solutions.
• Security built-in: Stay current with the latest AI research to protect our customers and Qlik from malicious use
• Multicultural Environment: Be part of a multicultural and highly collaborative environment, contributing to a creative and team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Take ownership of critical AI-related services powering Qlik’s AI investments.
• Contribute to the analysis, design, and implementation of improvements to our services.
• Influence Qlik's AI products, contributing to strategic AI investments.
• Find and evaluate modern technologies, to enhance the performance, maintainability, security, and reliability of our AI Platform.

Competencies and skills:

The skills and qualifications needed for this role:

• Strong coding skills and a keen interest in technologies like Golang, Python, microservices, RESTful APIs, and modern database solutions such as MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience or a strong interest in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software testing, performance benchmarking, and continuous integration (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub actions, Grafana, Kibana, Thanos, Prometheus)

Experience & Qualifications

Desired experience with a successful track record in one or more of the following areas:

• A minimum of 3 years in similar roles
• Experience building end-to-end systems as a Platform Engineer,

• Experience with ML/LLM Ops activities such as model development/training, monitoring, scaling, logging, cost management, alerting, or continuous improvement
• Experience using LLMs (Large Language Model) in real-world use cases, including prompt engineering and chain-of-thought prompting
• Comfort with Linux/MacOS development environment
• Familiarity with an ML/LLM Ops platform (e.g., Sagemaker, Vertex AI, Lakehouse AI)
• Familiarity with one or more ML (Machine Learning) workflow orchestration frameworks (ex: MLFlow, KubeFlow)
• Familiar with SQL programming and SQL / NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB, ElasticSearch)

Education

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.

The location for this role is:

Lund, Sweden. Flexible working conditions and possibility of working some time from home upon agreement.
