Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Engineer with a solid background in computer science or engineering to join our dynamic team. As a Power BI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that transform data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract, transform, and load data from various sources, and design data models to support comprehensive and user-friendly reports.
Dashboard Development: Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards using Power BI to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
Performance Optimization: Ensure the efficiency and performance of Power BI reports and dashboards by optimizing queries and data models.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, software developers, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions.
Data Integration: Integrate Power BI solutions with other data sources and systems within the organization to provide a cohesive view of business metrics.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI projects, data models, and processes for reference and knowledge sharing.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices.

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in BI development
Power BI, data analytics, Azure Data Lake, SQL, data visualization.
Financial Services background preferable.
Experience with data quality and reporting in a regulated environment.
Hands on experience with other BI tools and technologies
Experience: Proven experience in Power BI development and data analysis, with a strong understanding of the Microsoft BI stack (Power BI, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in DAX, M language, SQL, and data modeling. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into meaningful insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
Certifications in Power BI or related technologies.
