About your manager

Tomáš Karas is a Director who leads our team of data experts and business intelligence projects. Combining the roles of Data Architect and Project Manager, he helps clients build large-scale data warehouses and turn data into measurable business value. Together with his teams, he delivers solutions that automate complex processes and save clients thousands of hours of manual work. Outside the office, you'll likely find him enjoying time with his family, looking after their famous guinea pig farm, or catching up with colleagues after work.

Job description & summary

Are you passionate about data and ready to take the next step in your career? As a Data Architect, you will shape modern data platforms, lead talented teams, and help clients unlock the full value of their data. You'll combine technical expertise with consulting skills to deliver impactful data solutions across a variety of industries.

  • Define and design cloud-based data solution architectures.

  • Establish and implement data governance standards, frameworks, and processes.

  • Lead teams of data analysts and engineers in end-to-end delivery of data solutions.

  • Design and implement data transformation rules and data processing pipelines.

  • Drive data modeling activities and support modern data architecture initiatives.

  • Design and implement reporting and analytics solutions.

  • Prepare functional and technical solution designs.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.

  • Guide, mentor, and develop junior team members.

  • Contribute to business development and innovation within the Data & Analytics practice.

What matters to us

  • University degree and at least 5 years of experience in data, analytics, or technology consulting.

  • Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, BigQuery, AWS Glue, or similar cloud data technologies.

  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Spark, PySpark, Java, Scala, R, or C#.

  • Strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to lead teams and deliver complex data transformation projects.

  • Experience with data mesh architecture, master data management, data governance, or Data Vault modeling.

  • Knowledge of modern cloud-native data platform design patterns.

  • Experience with large-scale data warehouse modernization programs.

  • Certifications in cloud platforms or data technologies.

  • Consulting experience within enterprise environments.

  • Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing data professionals.
