Interior Designer

Location: Pune, India

Department: DND

Experience: 3 - 6 years

Key Responsibilities

Design Development

  • Develop innovative and functional interior design concepts for residential, commercial, and common amenity spaces.
  • Prepare mood boards, presentations, space planning layouts, and design proposals.
  • Create detailed interior drawings, including furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations, and working drawings.

Coordination & Execution

  • Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, vendors, contractors, and project execution teams.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure design implementation as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Resolve site-related design issues and provide technical guidance during execution.
  • Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of interior works.

Material Selection & Vendor Management

  • Select materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, and accessories as per project requirements and budget.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material approvals and procurement support.
  • Prepare material specifications and sample boards.

Project Management

  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Review contractor submissions and shop drawings.
  • Assist in cost optimization and value engineering initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare detailed BOQs and material specifications.
  • Maintain project documentation, design revisions, and approval records.
  • Present design proposals and updates to management and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of interior design principles, materials, and execution methodologies.
  • Excellent space planning and visualization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and aesthetic sense.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Software Skills

  • AutoCAD
  • SketchUp
  • V-Ray / Lumion
  • Photoshop
  • MS Office Suite

Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

Experience

  • 3–6 years of experience in Interior Design, preferably in residential and commercial real estate projects.
