We opened our R&D Second Home (besides the one in Silicon Valley) in Prague in January 2020 and since then we have experienced unbelievable growth. Our Engineers are solving complex engineering problems (from low-level system software to cloud computing) that help us innovate our cutting-edge products. About DTG:
DTG's mission is to simplify processes and systems, enhancing Pure's investments in products and services. As an integral part of Pure, we deliver seamless, productive, and secure digital experiences for our employees, customers, and partners. We are excited to welcome a Backend / Full Stack Engineer to join the Analytics Applications team under DTG in Prague, Pure Realize team.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
- Working on full lifecycle application development.
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to identify requirements and take solutions from initial design to production.
- Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing and internal-facing web applications in collaboration with our UX team.
- Develop and maintain backend microservices in TypeScript and Python.
- Handle data operations in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
- Deploy and maintain applications in AWS cloud infrastructure using serverless technologies and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Focus on design, development, unit testing, code reviews, documentation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 6+ years of experience with backend development and launching software products.
- Proficient in modern programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Golang, with a willingness to learn others.
- Understanding and implementation of security practices in cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud applications and DevOps practices in either AWS, Azure, or GCP, including Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and familiarity with database technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work effectively in an open office, team-oriented environment
This role will be based in Prague. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
