Join Our Team as a Creative Design Intern at Beyond Sports!

Are you creative, curious, and eager to turn complex sports data into engaging visual experiences? This internship is designed as a learning experience, where you will develop your skills while contributing to innovative projects used worldwide by top teams and major broadcasters.

You’ll work on projects used by Arsenal, Ajax, Feyenoord, the KNVB, Fox Sports, Sky Sports, the NBA, NFL, NHL, and more — gaining hands-on experience in a real production environment.

What your internship will look like

As a Creative Design Intern at Beyond Sports, you will be part of our multidisciplinary team and focus on learning, developing, and applying your design skills. You will be guided by experienced colleagues and receive regular feedback to support your growth.

During your internship, you will learn how to:

• Translate sports data and client needs into creative concepts

• Contribute to brainstorms and ideation sessions

• Create moodboards, sketches, storyboards, mock-ups and design proposals

• Research trends in sports, gaming, apps, social media, AR/VR and AI

• Collaborate with developers and artists to bring ideas to life

• Apply creative thinking to real-world design challenges

You will be supported by a mentor and have regular check-ins to track your development and learning goals.

Who are you?

This internship is focused on students who want to learn and grow in a creative design environment. You’ll fit right in if you:

• Are passionate about sports, design, tech, or gaming (or a combination)

• Are eager to learn and develop your creative skills

• Take initiative and are comfortable sharing ideas

• Think creatively and are open to feedback

• Are available 4–5 days per week for the duration of your internship

• Have strong communication skills (English)

Important:
This is a working internship (meewerkstage) with a strong learning focus. You must be enrolled at a Dutch university or college during the entire internship period and able to provide an internship agreement.

Technical skills and requirements

You don’t need to master everything — this internship is about learning — but a basic foundation helps:

Required

• Basic skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator)

• Experience with Figma

• Understanding of visual design (composition, color, typography)

Nice to have (you can also learn this during your internship)

• Premiere Pro or After Effects

• Interest in 3D, motion design, AI tools, or game interfaces

• Familiarity with Design Thinking methods
