Windchill Software Engineer Intern

Overview:

PTC is looking for a self-motivated, results-driven student to participate in our Summer Internship Program as a software development intern for our best-in-class PLM solution, Windchill. Windchill is an integral part of our customers’ processes for managing the design, manufacturing and support of their products, providing efficient access to data across the entire product lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to contribute improvements towards the next generation of Windchill within a highly collaborative work environment. You will gain exposure to enterprise level full stack development and build your skills in architecture, design and development. We look forward to meeting you!

Your Team

You will be a part of the team that is responsible for providing the next generation user interface of Windchill. You will participate as a full member of our development team during your internship and have many of the same responsibilities and opportunities as a full-time engineer.

Your Day-to-Day:

· Collaborate with stakeholders to define feature requirements

· Implement features and their associated automated tests

· Participate in the code review process as both a reviewer and reviewee

· Monitor your submissions as they proceed through our CI/CD pipelines

· Provide supporting technical documentation of your contributions for team members and stakeholders

· Participate in meetings as a full team member

Basic Qualifications:

· Must be enrolled in a degree program in one of the following: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

· Excellent communication skills

· Experience and/or coursework in the testing of software applications

· Able to work independently and with others

· Experience designing and writing software applications in Java and/or web technologies like JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Angular/React

· Comfortable with developing in Java

· Exposure to web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS is beneficial

· Experience developing software in a team environment
